I’m not sure if I saw Galaxy Quest in theaters, but I liked it immediately. Everyone liked it. Everyone I knew in high school liked it. Everyone I knew in college liked it.

I’ve never even seen Star Trek, but I liked it for the same reasons I liked Futurama. (And between the two, I’m pretty sure I get Star Trek).

Galaxy Quest obviously belongs at the top.

Besides the freeway sequence—which is one of the best action sequences of all time and well worth the price of admission—the strongest parts of Reloaded, IMO, are the thematic parallels between humanity and the machines. It’s a dance, not an orgy, thought it’s intercut with Trinity and Neo having sex, and it’s all

The remake of Bedazzled isn’t a good movie, but I enjoyed it. I haven’t seen it in many years, so it’s highly possible it doesn’t hold up and/or is extremely problematic, but it was a good time. It’s a fun Hollywood movie. Not great but still fun.

That’s just not true though. People have been calling out problematic things since the first person saw the first piece of media. And the 00s/10s were peak blog. There were many blogs dedicated to calling out problematic media.

1) There are many good Netflix Original Series

2) Most people have bad taste. Most content, on most platforms, is bad to mediocre.

That may be true in many cases, but it hasn’t been my experience. The NDs I’ve met have all been very pro-science and pro normal medical treatment. They’re just more willing to try non medication treatment options first. They can go a little heavy on the supplements, but they’re better at dealing with chronic

TGW always had quirky supporting characters. It is way more nuanced than the average legal drama. And it's equal parts legal procedural, family drama, and political intrigue. It gets really wacky in later seasons with its depiction of the NSA. But TGF really goes for it in a way network shows rarely do.

I wouldn’t blame the show for storylines not landing. They lost their last few episodes so of course some storylines aren’t tied up yet.

It’s kind of weird to mock an actress for being proud of her work. I like almost nothing about the new trilogy, but Daisy is good in most of it and the Reylo relationship is the only remotely interesting part of it.

So did TFA. TLJ relies on audiences siding with the soldier who doesn’t respect his female commanding officer’s orders. We’re supposed to believe she’s the unreasonable one. She even goes on one final suicide mission because of his actions. How is that a feminist masterpiece?

Yeah, Gus is much more interesting when he’s a petty AF stone-cold crime boss than a plain old stone-cold crime boss.

Is violating your principles really worse than having no principles? You get the same end results and you’re a hypocrite without integrity. I prefer a criminal who sticks to his amoral guns. But perhaps that is why I don’t like Mike (or Walt) and like Saul. Saul may be a shithead, but he doesn’t try to claim

SATC was all about Manolo Blahnik. It may or may not have mentioned Loubitons, but I do not believe they were a “thing” on the show. (Or anytime in the mid 00s).

Yes, if you’d never seen Breaking Bad, and you tried to watch BCS, you’d spend most of the show completely confused about why these two separate storylines were presented as the same show. Realistically, you would quit the show after a few episodes, or a season if you were generous.
The shows are also incredibly

I am a month and a half late, but I am here for this takedown of Mike. I cannot begin to understand why the BB/BCS writers of the fans think he’s superior to the people around him... much less compelling enough to justify his role as second lead on BCS.

One of the best things about premium economy (mostly 40-100/leg) is the frequency of empty middle seats. No one wants to pay extra for a middle seat, so you often pay an extra $50 for a seat and a half.

Virgin America tried that, but people weren’t buying, so they’ve since merged with Alaska. Sometimes you still get a plane with Virgin purple mood lighting on Alaska.

I’m with you until the Laura Dern part. There’s no reason why the second on command needs to inform anyone of lower rank (and especially not ao hothead who just got demoted) of any part of her plan. That’s how the military works.

Holdo shouldn’t tell Poe anything. He disobeyed a direct order and got a bunch of people killed. It makes perfect sense for her to keep him in the dark. It is the only reasonable thing to do as a military leader.

The problem is this is not the way the Star Wars universe works. In the Star Wars universe, the heroes are
