So who offered who parts in a film version of CATS?

Those boos were a symbol of honor and respect.

As much as I acknowledge the progressive criticisms of Andrew Cuomo and as much as I acknowledge the validity of many of those criticisms, I’m left with this nagging thought about the Cuomo-Nixon race:

Why is that Voltron Trump (or whatever it is) wearing a Confederate flag loin cloth? Also its sword hand is rather tiny.

The smartest observation made in the Woodward book is that he best place to be as a Trump adviser is just outside the inner circle. The real world doesn’t comport to Trump’s fever dreams so he quickly gets tired on people close to him and their reality-based advice. Then he desperately seeks out advise from people he

Anne Frank is not a hero. Not a hero. Believe me. She was also very ugly. Not a ten. Maybe a four. Maybe, if I’m being nice, a four, ok? But probably more like a three. If we’re being honest, a three. And she got caught. A lot of people don’t know this, I knew it but a lot of people don’t, that Anne Frank was caught

I mean, sure by modern standards that is an unacceptable slur. But I have a hard time defining a person by one moment of dirty politics nearly a half-century ago. Particularly a man whose work and actions were devoted ensuring equal opportunity and tolerance:

You heard him yesterday: it’s very big and very wet.

I think the editorial policy of the Gizmodo Media Group is that Stevie Wonder isn’t blind.

No amount of money can buy immortality. Trump is going to die some die and it’s clear that he can’t come to terms with that fact. Disabled people probably remind him of the fragility of life.

An overpaid shitbird in Detroit writing an entire column defending the eating of pizza with a knife and fork.

Just returned from a large extended family gathering—the first in a number of years—where I learned that basically my entire family voted for Trump and has no remorse for voting for Trump. Young and old, rich and not rich, white and really white. They all voted for Trump...except my mom who is a 74-year-old

We get it. The Irish and Scots-Irish think they’re special. That’s my point. They aren’t.

She probably realized she had misplaced her maps to such as South Africa and the Iraq.

Every white person in the United States can trace their ancestors’ arrival in the US to some injustice or tragedy. The Irish and the Scots-Irish seem to be the only white ethnic group that uses that history to act like they are a put-upon group in the United States.

So the events in Ireland explain the Trail of Tears, et al? The notion that the residents of Appalachia are victims of imperialist oppression is laughably stupid. It’s insulting to people that are actual victims of imperialism. You know, like the tribes removed from their lands to make room for the Irish/Scots-Irish

Holy hell, what a pretentious shit. Nothing about how you pronounce Applachia has fuck all to do with the political implications of the naming of Derry/Londonderry, Ireland. That is a non-sequitur of the first order.

Newspapers should get out of the endorsement game. They’re usually written with such diplomatic care to not offend that the actual endorsement is so tepid that it is meaningless. Which is why almost no one pays attention to newspaper endorsements.

So much economic anxiety.

Oh my God, you’re right. Imagine if we remove Trump and replace him with a president more interested in, as you say, doing things instead of treating the presidency as a symbolic office. We might end up with a president who would separate children from their parents at the border, alienate long-standing and critically
