It can be done. The FairTax is a revenue-neutral restructuring of the entire tax code to a sales tax. It exempts taxes up to the poverty and rebates that back as a monthly rebate (effectively a UBI).

Isn’t it a flaw in the study that they are only giving the money to lower inccome families. My understanding of UBI is that everyone regardless of income or wealth would get a stipend. Shouldn’t we be studying that.

Shrugs....if you are that concerned about privacy and want to put data in the cloud, you do your own encryption regardless of the company. Honestly, I bet this gets used for piracy more than anything else.

My guess they don’t delete files in the sense of releasing space to be overwritten but instead somehow invalidate the link so the data is no longer decryptable. So technically the data is still the just no longer accessible - kinda like a black hole. Not sure how this would work but it seems incredibly inefficient.
