There also is a more well meaning interpretation. As a software developer I always want to test all my code as soon as possible I a add much like production environment as possible. So running I micro transactions in beta is a great idea. I would be terrified to go from 0 users to millions for something that critical.

But this game was still in beta I believe which is where the difference lies.

I’ve had this happen with Jetpack Joyride (I 100%’d it but offline so no achievements ever synced with my account) and MineCraft. It sucks, saves should really be backed up by the game now, no excuses.
