Rusty exhaust is common and easily replaceable. Surface rust on a leaf spring isn’t an issue and also easily remedied. It’s body rust where it becomes a problem. This seems to have none, at least from the pictures so it can be considered “rust free”. 

I’m lucky I work at a performance shop where customers have no issue with us taking the cars out and hammer on them a little bit. While it’s not common that we will break the speed limit there are times when it has happened. 

I have a bunch of them since wendy’s management is above my friend’s hobby store and brought down a bag of them for us. 

Honestly, the speed limit there should be 100 but with all the clueless morons it will never happen. 

I’m sorry you had a bad experience. Likely it was 3rd gen forester as I was amazed how unstable they seemed when I was driving one. I assure you it is not the case with most of them. Drive one that not on stilts and has a 5 speed and it will likely change your mind.

The answer is simple.

A winch adds weight. The aftermarket mounting can degrade the aero, both reducing fuel economy. I’m not saying that it won’t save your ass if you happen to get into a situation. Unless it’s factory and all that is considered for it still means a compromise elsewhere.

I loved the turbine sound on startup. Up until I heard the IC engines as it was heading out on track. There is something about hearing certain engines go through the gears that is harmonious.

This pains me but I’m assuming a turbine mated to a CVT might be a viable answer how to hustle a car around a track fastest?

Agreed. I consider most political debates to be “my criminal is better than your criminal” with many on each side that would rather die on their hill than meet in the valley and discuss compromise.

There was a time when government actually worked together on issues and created compromises. Now it seems it’s all about pissing in each others cornflakes just because.

Exactly. Also I know more than a few racecar drivers that can’t load a printer, don’t know a 1/4 in. drive from a 1/2 in. drive but can still wheel the hell out of a racecar.
