I lived in an area with no HOA for 35 years and it was a well kept neighborhood. You just need neibhors with a bit of respect for their property. The sad part about that is they are becoming few and far between. That’s the real issue.

I do understand your point but I don’t need another adult telling me what to do with the house and property I purchased. I do live where there is a very limited HOA of sorts but it’s more in line with don’t let your place look like a shithole and other common sense things.

I knew AU got them and EU got their versions as well. I can’t confirm the “special order” status but they did get them. It was only the USDM that didn’t get the turbo until the GD body style. As far as I know from reading and knowing a bunch of people that used to live in europe they had WRX’s and they were not special order.

In certain areas it’s also illegal to not be in gear. I can see why as in case you need to take emergency action, having the can in neutral can be the difference between avoiding something and bending metal.
