All cars ECUs are tuned to run whatever the lowest octane is available. Running well is a total different story.

Try buying some at a gas station. We used to charge $5 for a “concentrate” at the shell I used to work at. It was a small bottle of regular fluid and we topped off the tank with the “water” filler we had at the pumps.

As someone replied before, it’s a dying art. I’ve been watching it shrink since I basically got into it. It’s pretty sad. I am proud of the work I produce but the volume is down to a trickle now. Sadly I have to find something else to learn now at the age of 41.

Fair enough but without struggle, just enjoyment isn’t as rewarding.

It’s funny how they can pull print ready art but far too many “professional” designers continue to submit 72 dpi images and are aghast when I flag them as being low res. Prepress will always be there since someone has to preflight the files and no amount of advice given to designers is heeded.
