Exactly, if done correctly it can look great. At a car show. NOT on public roads. You’ve broken your car, it’s home is now on a trailer. Roll around the parking lot at the local show then trailer it up for the ride home.

The ones I have, no but I’ve spent a fair amount of time in my mom’s outback with a CVT and while I’m not a fan of the rubberband box I didn’t hate my time in it. I do spend a lot of time in my FXT with the 4EAT and that trans sucks. Still, I do have fun in them.

Not fun to drive? Every Subaru I’ve driven from the 1.8l Brighton to a PTD prepped BRZ has always been fun to drive. Even if they are slow I still have a blast wringing them out through the mountain roads where I live.

Subaru fans have been crying for many of the JDM goodies for years and years but we don’t get them. I don’t see it changing anytime soon. They are selling the normal cars hand over fist so it may lead them to go though the issues if importing select special models eventually but sadly, it’s highly unlikely.
