Ah, I see. Hopefully this SYN show is worth it because I definitely miss her presence and have the feeling I’m not alone. Any idea what SYN is about? I haven’t heard of it.

I didn’t say who it was; I didn’t even post a picture of the character. Unless you want every headline to be “something happened on this episode,” you may have to resign yourself to minor mentions of plot advancements. Or just wait until you’ve watched the episode to come read the review.
Another episode knocked out of the ball park, this time by Murphy and Lucy. Some very powerful acting that had me fearing it might be Murphy’s last...... Whilst I won’t miss Lucy that much I do expect that she is going to leave a hole.
And frankly, Arrow got MUCH better when it leaned into the comic bookiness by giving us supersoldiers, legacy heroes and earthquake machines. Those first few episodes of Batman with a bow are rather weak.
Hell, look at Legends of Tomorrow. It’s essentially a superhero variety show where every week they do a new movie…
Person of interest could have been ripped from about 5 different action comics and it worked absolutely fine on bloody CBS of all places.
Here’s the thing: ABC doesn’t know how to make great comic book TV. The CW and Fox both do. It’s not a Marvel vs DC thing in movies and TV anymore, it’s Disney(+Sony) vs Warner Bros vs Fox vs CW and that’s a whole different ballgame.
It’s been a rough year for Marvel TV. At this point, I would say that AoS is their only real success - at least in its reception. And it’s perhaps telling that it’s the one show Marvel seems not to be paying attention to anymore.
I honestly believe that anyone who’s sat through this entire series can’t complain about Danny Rand. Danny has a soul, he has noble motives, and while he’s an idiot, he’s not entitled or self-superior.
Just think of all that goodwill that Agents of Shield built up last season and how hard they’re trying to piss it all away.
This is like the least ambitious, most asinine, ugliest product Marvel has released in live action since, what, Elektra?
Iron Fist was nowhere near as dreadful as this show.
That’s one of the first things that got me in love with this show. It’s so great that nobody’s phased when Jim and Randy do their coming out.
Lahey was NOT a bisexual. He and Randy were only dressed up as the Lone Ranger and Tonto because they were practicing for a community theater production. Yeah.
I love that most of the jokes on his sexuality were more “but why Randy?” or “but why are you dressed like a chicken?”
This was unexpectedly poignant.
i really wanted lahey to be rickey’s real dad.
Mr. Lahey was one of the first bisexual male characters where his sexuality wasn’t treated like a big deal. Not going to lie there were a few jokes but it never felt mean spirited or cruel. Also a fun little fact for you shitbirds: a young Ellen Page plays Mr. Lahey’s daughter in the first season of Trailer Park…
My favourite scene of Mr Lahey’s is i think it’s a season from a few years back and he walks blindly backwards towards his car, not taking his mouth off a whiskey bottle, getting in the car and peeling out, never stopping for air while finishing it off.
He seems like he was a really neat guy -
Okay, this one hurts. This year’s turning in to a real shit tornado. A shitnado.
