When I got my learner’s permit in 1989 We had a 5-speed manual 1988 Mazda 626 notch-back and a 5-speed 1986 Chevy Astro. The Astro had a long stiff (heh) clutch that could tire you out driving around town. Mazda was kinda (not really) sporty for the 4-cylinder meh sedan that it was, although I always liked its profile.
