I live in a state where cannabis is quite illegal. I grew 6 plants in a space of about 5x5 ft with a aeroponic set up. It seemed pretty simply to me outside of the risk.

I get the tomato ref (although I am not a big fan so I am not going to grow them). Not sure owning a cow and milking it is in the same ballpark as growing 10-15 plants.
I am not an expert. IMO this definition sounds like the patent options for a plant are limited...
whew
You are a jerk. My OP says “legal” cannabis. Bugger off.
Yes, I see the consumer side. I just don’t see how that corner shop is going to make much money (because I think there will be a lot of competition and undercutting of prices ie home grow).
I am so uncool, I don’t even get the reference. But I am neither if that helps.
I am making a distinction between the difficulty in production (which I believe to be relevant).
I think with access to solid strains (ie seeds: this is where I could see a nice market), home growers will do well enough. And yes, I completely agree about growing large amounts being cost effective. It’s just there aren’t many barriers to moderate grows (let’s say 25-50 plants) and I see those moderate grows…
It’s easy to grow weed. It’s harder to grow good weed.
This would be for sales. I think (not know) a significant number of people will grow and share and that will put a dent in the revenue of big producers.
Yes, another fair point. My question would be is that money still there if every state has legal cannabis.
I think that’s a fair point about consumers. I see similarities to fast food chains with cannabis shops but in my humble opinion, I just don’t see a lot of money in legal cannabis. That’s one of the main reasons it’s been illegal so long, it’s difficult to patent a plant and therefore make money off of it.
I am not an expert distiller. Still, I think growing cannabis is much simpler and cheaper than distilling moonshine. I even argue it’s easier and cheaper to grow cannabis than brewing your own beer.
because reasons...
why is this a cop question in your opinion? I am genuinely curious.
I mean, what’s so uncool about removing the combustion aspect?
I don’t get these cannabis firms. My belief is that people will just grow it themselves when legal. Edit: Where’s the big money in that?
All the President’s Men is due for a reboot as well. 1984 with a bigger production budget may be in line too!
