this seems like a good time to ask, what about spinning the drives down? I have a NAS and the drives are set to spindown after 5mins, does this positively affect battery life, or does it increase the wear?

All my computers back up to a NAS, that NAS backs up to Crashplan

My question would be, how long before the autonomous cars start to tattle on other drivers? those cars cameras and sensors could be tracked, cut one up, its noted and forwarded to your insurance agency automatically. Speeding? the AV car logs your cars speed, takes a picture sends it to the police and to other AV cars…
