Temporal anomalies...

The hub size is a reflection of the loads the hub/wheel will see. Lighter car=lighter loads, so we were able to drop the extra lug. Every. Gram. Counts.

Luckily, we’ve had a lot of practice since all our cars are now EPAS. One key is not trying to replicate hydraulic feel, but going instead for honest feedback, so the diver can feel the work the front tires are doing. This gives you an effort curve more like manual steering but without the effort. Drive back to back
