The defense should be able to bring up that guy’s record. I mean if he’s going to claim with confidence “She’s a good cop” the jury should be able to see what his standards are and what that actually means.

That seems like something which should be changed, just as a general standard. If deadly force is supposed to be a last resort, hah(!), then the less-than-lethal alternatives should be holstered on the officer’s dominant side. That said, this was no accident and she just wanted to kill someone.

Could you please, please, please turn off the auto-play for embedded videos? If I don’t pause it quickly enough at the end of the video, it automatically brings me away from the article and to the page for whatever the next video that is queued up, which is very frustrating.
