You probably do, but I don’t have any issues with my 1080 for 4K gaming. I can’t think of anything I play that doesn’t hit 50+ FPS with everything cranked up. Honestly, good enough for me.

I don’t think so. I’ve been gaming my whole life, and PC gaming for about 15 years. I game on a 43" 4K IPS panel, it looks absolutely stunning and while I get that higher refresh rates are better for competitive play, I don’t play competitively.

1080p and 1440p don’t look as clear on a 4k monitor as they do on a monitor that natively supports them.
