Ha, at 110 lbs I’d be literally dead. That’s under a 15 BMI for me.

I’m a 6’ tall woman, and I completely feel your pain. I hit 5’11” around 8th grade and just PRAYED that I would stop. It’s hard enough when you’re literally head and shoulders taller than everyone around you, men and women, but when people point it out it feels so awful at that age when all you want to do is FIT IN. I…
I posted this story over on Behind Closed Ovens in the comments a while back, but I was once forced to come into my restaurant job with pinkeye so bad my eyes were gummed shut and I had to have my boyfriend at the time drive me over. Then they tried to force me to sit in the back all shift and ROLL SILVERWARE. Because…
Ex boyfriend of mine almost died because he tried to continue working with a perforated colon from undiagnosed Crohn’s disease. He put in a full day feeling like he had the worst flu in the world and went home and collapsed on the couch. Luckily, he was found by friends before he died, but he ended up a few feet of…
They’re the same for me - one pool of PTO. It’s a generous pool (24 days per year to start) but it definitely makes me hesitate to take days for anything minor enough to leave me standing. The fact that I can - within reason - log in and work from home, however, gives me another way to work without spreading infection.
For me, in the late 80s, they weren’t allowed to strike us. So they invented new forms of torture to use instead. The most wonderful for me personally was actively supporting the kids bullying me and making me sit alone outside of the classroom for entire lessons BECAUSE THE OTHER KIDS ASKED HER TO.
I also went to Catholic grade school, and while I had some nuns as teachers who were intensely amazing people, some of them clearly thought the crucifixion story was a how-to on child raising.
My mother is Catholic. My father is not. They still tithe 5% of their earnings to the church every year. Another 5% goes to a non-church charity, as they believe in the 10% tithing that my mother was taught growing up.
I was at all of those parks in August as well! I was really impressed with Bryce, though the overall hiking wasn’t as great as, say, Zion or Arches. I wasn’t expecting to be as blown away as I was.
I did NOT appreciate the jump scare audio cue while exploring. I was fine with the monster in there, but ugh. I was playing alone in the house and it about made me wet myself.
Those are more like “helpful hints” and not true tutorials. What I was referencing was the painful walkthroughs like in New Vegas when you had Sunny Smiles teach you how to crouch in order to aim/shoot, and then drug you to a campfire to force you to start crafting food. It’s just a waste of time, especially on later…
This has been completely debunked. It’s apparently just a glitch where the extra materials are “invisible” in your inventory, but can still be used. I am fairly certain it’s been completely proven at this point that there’s no benefit to junking from the ground.
I’ve experienced the same thing. Made it through an area disarming a ton of mines along the way, but died when a securitron blew up and took me with it.
I was probably 30 hours in before it actually happened, so I don’t think it’s common, but after all of the time I’ve spent modding that damn suit I was going to start an in-game murderspree in the area if someone walked off with it.
It’s never going to be perfect, but at least I didn’t have to play through an hour of coddling little “tutorial” missions before being able to proceed in the game, like in previous Fallouts. If there was anything I was hung up on, like one minute on google got me the answer I needed - rather like going to the library,…
You have to replace the mod on the “donating” weapon (usually with a “cheaper” mod.) Then the original mod is placed into your inventory and can be attached to the weapon you’re improving. It’s a little cumbersome, IMHO, but it’s worth it for a really great mod that you can’t craft yourself yet.
You need to set one of the settlers to a supply line to another settlement to use resources between them. In workshop mode, highlight the settler and there is an option at the bottom to assign them to a supply line. Then select the settlement they’re assigned to, and you get to use both workshops’ resources in either…
Being able to mark items for searching really changed the game for me. Especially farther in, where I’ve got enough wood and steel to last me until the next apocalypse, but certain things are still in short supply, being able to set those as search targets and having items with those components (and the boxes/cabinets…
Be sure to pull the core out before leaving it anywhere - even places you think are safe. Caught someone trying to steal mine in Diamond City which was super annoying since I couldn’t powerfist her in the face for being an attempted thief without pissing off the guards.
He’s such a step up from the howling nonsense of Three Dog - I couldn’t leave the radio on for long because he irritated me so much. The new guy is hilarious.
