The Southern element is overstated: remember that they're from a segment of New Orleans that has such a dense Creole affect that they sound more like they're from Brooklyn. I worry that Galifianakis will use his stock Southern twang, which isn't at all how it should sound.

I'd really like to hear a chopped and screwed trap remix of Mars Volta's "L'Via L'Viaquez".

I had some sampler cd with a dope live version of "Cut Your Ribbon".

I saw Thursday and Common Rider on that Take Action Tour in 02, with Poison the Well, Cursive, and The Lawrence Arms. Jesse Michaels left me hanging on a handshake and I've never felt the same about him. The Poison the Well guys were some of the nicest musicians I've ever met though.

Username-comment synergy on fleek.

One of my favorites, but One Armed Scissor was their bigger hit.

Can you hurry up and serve your purpose?

Sparta and Mars Volta felt like an even division of each side's contribution to AtDI, like you could cleanly just split it between the esoteric weirdness of Cedric and Omar and the more anthemic post-hc from Jim. Cedric and Omar were obviously the more creative ones but what I think Mars Volta loses that AtDI had was

I wouldn't say Watchmen was butchered.

To both, no worries, this was when we got together years ago. We probably do more oral than anything (we're perfect complimentary heights for the frankly underrated 69 position).

I'm 30, and while I enjoy going down on my girlfriend, early on I mistakenly thought she wasn't into it (she stopped me the first time I tried, because she was self conscious and still in the trouble zone of her period). While I enjoy doing it, I didn't miss it when we weren't doing it. So if guys are just insistent

I wasn't one of the ones bitching when they signed to a major, I still like a lot of New Wave (even "Borne On The FM Waves of the Heart"), and I got the message with "I Was a Teenage Anarchist". I don't really particularly care if anyone thinks I'm transphobic or not. And "media whore" is an expression that could be

I tried Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Not my thing. Too girly, too cutesy, clever at times but not really laugh out loud hilarious or anything. I guess I'm a typically bro'd out dude.

That right there is my biggest problem: from the very moment the transition was announced all you new jack fans couldn't make straw man arguments fast enough. Being trans does not make her immune to criticism, and trying to make all criticisms about the transition is condescending all around. "Media whore" is a common

I just went through this on the Against Me! post the other day but: the lyrical themes changed, the music went from anarchist lo-fi punk to not-bad-but-not-the-same Replacementsish alt rock, and LJG went from a wordy political firebrand to kind of a media whore. Meanwhile the fanbase is completely different now,

I can't wait to read this, regardless of the way I feel like OG Against Me! fans got left in the dust by the popular narrative after her transition, I am interested in hearing a more in depth take.

I enjoyed that but I wanted more Homme in it, his first appearance was one of my favorites ever. But I didn't want any less Iggy. Basically I just wanted like 2 More hours.

I'd love to know more about Dean Fertita, he seems to be the link between lots of other musicians I love. I'll have to give this a spin soon.

This spurred me to watch Soaked in Bleach. This Tom Grant lays it on pretty thick. All that stuff about his clean record and how his dad never told a lie only makes me more suspicious.

In my experience, having a terminal fuckup for a parent can breed some kind of responsibility in someone
