Last I checked, cruise control has allowed driving at any speed the driver chooses for about the last 40 years. This isn’t a new moral dilemma. The DRIVER is still in charge, not the car. Can I sue Honda if someone sets their cruise control in their civic on 75 and rear ends me? Decades of legal precedent says not.

The engine was capable of moving the vehicle forward under it’s own power in cheat mode, but in no way was the performance such that it could be considered to be a functional emissions compliant vehicle in cheat mode. Otherwise VW would have already “fixed” the problem with a software update and a check saying sorry

The Majority of rich people don’t get rich by living like a Kardashian. They care about value for money, even when the money is large.

Am I the only one that thinks that the current (not the 2018) Camry is actually pretty handsome? This new one is horrifying. Same with virtually every Lexus.

I don’t mean to speak ill of the dead but that car collection smacks of someone that doesn’t care much about cars. Outside of a couple, most are ordinary and some are downright embarrassing choices.

Another epic fail of a click-churning cross post by Gawker Media, who apparently thinks that people reading a tech blog are also fascinated by the President’s views on dresses.

Oh look. A fake-news negative story about the F-35 here, to augment the other 1,000 negative stories here on the F-35. What a shock.

If by doomed you mean the strongest economy in the world, with the strongest currency, that investors around the globe are rushing to invest in, and that half the world population is trying to immigrate to, then yes we’re doomed.

This is why Ferrari’s have never appealed to me. Frankly it’s just piss-poor engineering that results in such expensive maintenance. I’d much rather have a 911 with near-Ferrari performance because it’s engineered by people who care about the end user and not just track times.

I’m suggesting that an automobile forum not dabble in political commentary.

How dare Trump defend the American worker and advocate making cars in the US. Outrageous.

The entire Chinese economy is fueled by intellectual theft and slave wages, with a healthy dose of currency manipulation sprinkled in. It’s interesting watching it unravel. Seen the Chinese debt to GDP ratio lately? At least the debt that’s on the books, Chinese Govt accounting is about as honest as this director who

Black lives matt...oh wait you got a Mercedes I’m gonna steal me that.

One guy with a problem. Is that enough for a story?

Good thing it drives itself because I’m gonna have a bag over my head sitting in it.

virtual reality is the 3D TV of 2016. Our tech overlords are telling us we love it, but the reality is it’s a gimmick that won’t last. Seen any Samsung 3D TVs released this year? Or curved screens? Same thing.

Congratulations on your completely irrelevant Trump mention. Feel better?

Thanks Jalopnic for your completely irrelevant cross posting of this frankly ridiculous article to an automotive forum.

The Japanese internment was a project of FDR, pushed by California fascist, Gov. Earl Warren, and upheld in the Supreme Court’s Korematsu decision, written by Roosevelt appointee and loyal Klansman Justice Hugo Black. All loyal members of the Democratic party.

Thanks for the politics. Not.
