Just last year Honda recalled 2003-04 Odysseys (and I think MDXs) over incidents like this. That's a fair gap in model years but I wonder if the incidents are related.
Because if Audi releases a practical vehicle without making it seem sporty somehow, they'll be the laughing stock of some automotive blogs.
