As a consumer that truly wants to support handmade, quality, fair trade products, I want to know there is some truth in advertising. I think it is important that we keep pressure on companies who capitalize on the goodwill of the socially conscious to sell fraudulent products.

I believe her. In both cases, she is saying the rumors are false not that he never abused her. The only detail she really refutes is that he hit her with a baseball bat and the accounts of various tabloids. In neither case, does she say, he did not abuse me or he did not hit me.

And it also lets us respond to them! It brings it all out into the open so we can talk about it (despite our policy of not feeding the trolls).
