You mean a jaguar with a body kit. That is an uglier but better handling xjr15

While I agree the Supra isn’t pretty, I wouldn’t call it homely. It’s so over-styled, with so many fake vents and pumped up features, it’s not “plain.” Compared to the Z8, it’s all puffed up lips, wide hips, needless details and oh so shouty.

Hopefully this will get Toyota to put a manual in the Supra to compete.

What kind of Jalop question is this?

Should we crush it because it has/had asshole owners or was produced/bankrolled by dickwads? That’d show them!

This car is problematic if (1) it is venerated because of its connection to the Nazi era, and (2) the people venerating it are doing so as a back-handed way to praise Nazi accomplishments. Is there evidence of this in the actions of the owners, the judges, or the Pebble Beach management? Or is the fact that the car

Few serious people have actually adapted this opinion with respect to the enormous quantity of WWII-era art, design, and poetry plagued by its odious connection to fascism. Not sure there is a need to start now.

Don’t you own a Nazi-designed Beetle?

We (Australians) have a significant Luxury Car Tax of an additional 33% for vehicles priced above the current LCT threshold of $69152 for most ICE vehicles and a higher threshold of $79659 (Aussie dollars) for “fuel-efficient vehicles”. The LCT is a throwback to a time when we actually manufactured locally and to

I think that has more to say about the average salary in Australia as fuel and practically everything else is more expensive there than it is in the US.  I know Australians that complain about finding Aussie products for sale in the US that are cheaper than what they can buy them at home.

So TLDR..

Needs a wing.

Ah the headline game.... Over at Hagerty and Hemmings, you’ve got engineer journalists with 40 years under their belt laying out 2,000 words on auto engine design, but Jalopnik throws down the authoritative final word thanks to rando commenters and a deadline:

I didn’t toss any suggestions into the suggestion box, but the Colombo V12 seems to be a worthy omission. Certainly “better” than he VW TDI.

And if I become a billionaire I’ll kill myself.”

“And if I become a billionaire I’ll kill myself.”

Dude what are you doing on a car blog complaining about an awesome new car?

Uh, European pricing *always* includes taxes. In this case, VAT of 19%. That puts it at about 89,000Euro, or about 106,000USD, excluding fees, taxes, and rebates.

People who spend $2 million dollars on this car aren’t fools. To have that kind of money to spend on a car means they likely know what they are doing.

...gotta be honest, I don’t see how anyone can be that salty about the ridiculously high level of craftsmanship that goes into a Singer.  Maybe step away from the internet for awhile.
