The only reason he got in trouble was because Gordon was in the Southern Hemisphere and things are suppose to go counterclockwise. How dare that American do clockwise donuts in the Southern Hemisphere!

There is already a recall for this problem. Most likely what happened is that the engine ingested water and locked up. When the driver cycled the key to try to start the vehicle, the dip limiter on the battery overheated by sending excessive current to the starter because of the locked engine and the dip limiter…
It’s not a part on the starter that is catching fire, it’s a part on the battery that’s going up in flames when the engine is being blocked (mechanical issue or hydrolocked) and can’t turn over
you are correct
Space X had their first successful landing back in December and it was on land at Cape Canaviral. the picture is not up to date as the site has been cleared, but you can find it on google maps. i got a gopro video of the landing from across the river.
Usually the drone ships are only 200-300 miles offshore. A TX launch to FL landing would be too far
don’t forget, Space X already landed a rocket on land back in December. I was there to watch it and it was awesome to see and hear.
