In CT, there are no restrictions on historic plates at all. You can put them on your daily driver and drive as much as you want. But we don’t get any of the “benefits” like cheaper registration, exempt from emissions testing, etc. The only real benefit (besides looking cool, of course) is cheaper property tax.

I have historical plates on my 1992 Honda Accord and my 1994 Ford Bronco. Here in CT, any car 20 years old can get these plates.
