Which ones do you find to be pointless pandering? Not scrutinizing, genuinely curious. I sorta like the Falcon one because it fits plotwise and Falcon Caps costume is badass. Thor I’m not sure about, but people seem to think they wrote it well so I could be off base.

This is character building. By taking up the mantle they gain more exposure and have more substance/books under their belts to help define their future. Maybe X23 will come out of this series abandoning her old killer codename in favor of a more heroic identity.
