YUP! I like Man of Steel up until the movie drops every single one of its themes for the interminable slug fest between Superman and Zod. And the frustrating thing is all you'd need to make that sequence work is just having Superman go out of his way to try to save people, show him truly on the ropes and finally

I unequivocally love it. Roger Ebert described it as "an explosion at the genre factory" and I think that's pretty accurate. If you can, watch the director's cut, it makes a little more sense.

Fellow BotW fan here! I agree, I'm surprised Gans wasn't offered other, better movies or at the very least better video game adaptations. He was on a short list for that Conan movie from 2011, but obviously he didn't direct that.

Oh they won't show anything Conan. I pitched them a show where Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny were teenagers, and I was a teenager too and we were all pirates, and each week we'd have different costumes and identities. And they called back and said that it was stupid! And that I was stupid too! But let me tell you

So many good ones. Batmantis is great, Banjo is awesome. And the one where Space Ghost has to get his mail and Zorak takes over and says "You're gone" to a bunch of guests.

Attention everyone: I have a hit song about a knife, and yes I'm married.

You already HAVE one!

No seriously what…is…this?!?! Google just deepened the mystery…

I don't see any discernible reason for Mary Jane to be white OR a red head or a woman for that matter. The important aspect of her character is how she interacts with Parker and that she can call him on his shit. So if the actress/actor playing MJ has the right chemistry with Parker then it's all good.

She's got red hair!

Well Kevin Feige was a producer on Spider-Man 2…

They are indeed. But Warner Brothers doesn't seem to care about that possible confusion.

"God, James is sweet, but he's so dumb"

I mean at least the Marvel movies try for one, it doesn't always work, but by gum they try!

Basically yes. But I don't think the movie deserves even that much credit. It basically says: Lex Luthor is the bad guy because he's always been the bad guy.

Ugh. This line of thinking actively irritates me, because they don't have this problem with the fucking Flash.

That and most of the Marvel movies have an emotional story that generally works to get through the wonky plot mechanics needed. Captain America: Civil War has almost the exact same plot as Batman v Superman, but Civil War has an emotional through line so you're willing to forgive the general problems with the

Theater of Blood is so so so so good!

I went to a Weird Al concert last year, and it amazed me when he started singing Amish Paradise and all these 5 - 10 year olds were singing along. And I'm positive that most of them have never heard Gangsta's Paradise.

There are some hilarious animation errors in The Return of Optimus Prime. Like when optimus moves his head and his mouth piece doesn't move with him. And for one full speech his mouthpiece covers his eyes.
