That is truly creepy. Why would anyone think that is ok?

I really hate this low budget and poorly acted direct to video remake of 2003.

Once again, it needs to be pointed out that in the real world, there is one and only one superpower: compound interest.

Oh, god, the Grinder hookup one. That one and the (similar to this year's crawlspace one)about the woman who lived alone with her big dog who eventually discovered that her neighbors were peeping on her are some of the most frightening things I've ever read.

It’s in This is How We Do It - “All they said was 6'8" he stood, and people thought the music that he made was good.”

As an atheist, I actually have a potentially strange explanation for this: determinism. Everything in the universe is already set in motion, and will play out in the way they’re going to play out. I think sometimes people are more attuned to or get flashes of how things will play out based on whatethey’ve seen and expe

“All of the scares caused by women seem to be lady-ghosts. The scares caused by men are just...men.

Well, if that ain’t just horrifically, depressingly true...

I have a freakishly good long term memory when it comes to my early childhood. For instance, I can vividly remember the bedtime routine that my mother - who died when I was young - took me through each night. She would carry me on her hip, and we would go all throughout the house so that I could say goodnight to

This has happened to me several times! I’m an atheist and a pragmatist, as much as I love all the spooky things I’m not really a believer. But the number of times I’ve had a meaningless dream at the time suddenly come into sharp focus in my real, waking life weeks or years later is too many to ignore. Someone else

I was listening to that interview on npr yesterday and I thought, I hope this isn’t Antonio Banderas in Miami Rhapsody (shot in Miami). But he was just on his way up in Hollywood at the time (~1994), so it’s unlikely.

she could have just said “bless his heart” and saved a buncha words

I think it’s sad that an extra 3 pounds make Britney Spears post a video. It’s freaking water weight.

I agree that you can’t call this homophobia on Rogers part (imho). He didn’t reject Clemmons, quite the opposite. He did pragmatically admit the reality of the situation. If he kept going out to gay bars, he’d get outed and fired. That was the reality and completely out of Roger’s hands. The ending of the article in

I don’t see where you’ve also acknowledged that there was a production company and PBS making the show and therefore would have reacted strongly against an openly gay man working on a childrens show. There was probably a threat of cancelling the whole show, and perhaps that is why Fred Rogers reacted the way he did.

Keanu Reeves has had beers and took pics with “stalkers” (I think this is more of the “stalker” the girl in your story was - a fan who figured out the right address and showed up) and also once chatted calmly with a wacky one who broke into his house until police arrived (I think this is the kind stalker we think of

I was a kid at the time so my knowledge and perspective on the situation was limited, but looking back and knowing what it’s like to be that young, we were really terrible to her.

Didn’t Christian Sirano come from Project Runway?

Fuck that and Fuck him.

I too was raped by my 1st boyfriend and his best friend immediate after. It was violent, both mentally and physically abusive, degrading and used as a “punishment” for my being a Jew. I was only 14. It never entered my mind that he took my virginity. In fact, I was shocked years later to be asked “how it felt to lose

Another big issue is financial security. Honestly, rent is too high to breakup for many couples in major metropolitan areas. It is easy to tell someone to leave when you have a home to go back to that you can afford.
