Go play the PSX version! It's also fan-translated (and it's a better translation than DeJap's, though less silly), and the game has been improved thoroughly- it's better than Destiny, the first PSX game.

What, are you talking about Vaan? He's no main character- every time he ever speaks up, someone else tells him to stop talking. He's just a player cipher for people who don't want to be someone cool like Basch or Ashe or Balthier.

At the very least, it made Ishinomori swear off English versions of Kamen Rider.

I'm not so sure about FFTA2 having fantastic balance. Parivirs were ridiculously overpowered, even without dual-wielding. But then, who isn't going to have their ronin dual-wielding katanas? C'mon.

Have you played The Granstream Saga, for the PSX? It's kinda considered part of the trilogy, and it's a pretty fantastic (if very flawed) game in its own right.

Alternative is so brilliant with the feels, it's hard to pick one moment. Both insert songs, any scene with Meiya, everything about the finale, chomp.gif and the reprise in the Extra world... Too many feels.
