the only way I'd be ok with a halflife movie is if the entire thing was filmed as a seamless, continuous shot from first person perspective, just like the game. Also, the protagonist isn't allowed to talk.

I dabbled in the closed beta for a while on a slow connection and tiny old TV. not the best way to enjoy any game. That being the case, I didn't really get enthralled by the game (though I've always been fascinated by the EVE universe).
