Ideally it'd be great if the DLC from this game were transferable to the inevitable sequels, adding some longevity to the value of the releases.

My name is Taran, which translates directly to "Thunder", given to me because I was born in a storm on a Thursday (or to call it by it's original name, Thorsday). Thor was the Norse god of Thunder and in Celtic mythology (which considering my location constitutes local history :P) Thor's equivalent is Taranis.
Whilst I'm inclined to agree in regards to Blu-Ray playback, I find the lack of DVD support to be a ridiculous move.
I'd at least like the option. I still play local multiplayer with friends, and having the option to avoid playing split screen by relegating everyone's screen to a different controller would sell this console to me. Even if I didn't own a second controller, why not allow a friend to bring theirs over (like they did…
in general, I'm not a big fan of the genre either, but Oblivion completely drew me in... I once had a character with over 600 hours on it (me and a friend spent 3 years on that build!) and many more at around 100 hours. Its a totally immersive game, and if you like Fallout 3/NV then you'd LOVE oblivion.
yeah, it pisses me off that the price is $250 in the US and 250EUR over in europe (likely £250 in the UK) which is almost double the price. I know it's the norm for us to pay more, but it still sucks.
haha, totally agree!
the first one stood out when it first came out due to the refreshing change in colour palette from what seemed like a predominantly brown selection of titles across both platforms and of course the high production values and decent characterisation. It was the second game that really raised the bar, and if you have…
hey, LISTEN!
the water flooding in was a wow moment for me. The last time a gameplay trailer did that was Uncharted 2 from inside the collapsing building in a helicopter fight. Good to see they've still got some some great setpieces up their sleeves!
I'll agree with you there in regards to the iffy controls, though I have my doubts as to prospective PC origins... I mean Zipper has been a console developer for as long as I remember!
yes, but the other has the powerhouse of nintendo behind it. If anybody knows how to market to the casual market, it's them.
went over pretty well as I recall... the community is still huge too.
tell me about it. the whole production felt like more of a showcase for 4D TVs than an actual game. it looked pretty good, but gave me eyestrain and nosebleeds every five and a half seconds.
the bit where the chief took off his helmet to reveal he was a deep-voiced woman all along was a pretty good twist though! That said, I'll be damned if I'm going to play it again in under 3 hours for the bikini achievement...
aww man. there goes another night. last time I played it was still in alpha and it's come a long way!
I remember going on home every night for a week with my housemate (we both set up PS3s in the same room to coordinate the lulz) with the intention of trolling the sex-pests that ran rampant at the time... in doing so I found the greatest feature in the service:
you need to find the sideways dimensions of your own mind maaaan, the pipe is made from the girth of time! :P
I don't know what I just read, but I'm confused by it.
...what a dick.
