I don’t know about anyone else but I got a nerd boner from this. 60 freaking light years away and we can observe a planet directly. This kind of thing makes me just stop and gaze at the ceiling marveling at how far we’ve come and how far we have yet to go.

Call me crazy, but I prefer the ending where the good guys win, the hero gets the girl, and everyone lives happily ever after until the Yuuzhan Vong invade. Really, fanboys, can we get over the obsession with darkness and angst?
