I don't know why you'd go into Silver Linings Playbook expecting it to be funny, given the subject matter and the director. It's a romantic comedy in the very loosest of terms.

I don't get it though, there are countless directors who would love to work with a talent like DeNiro, if he's willing to really commit to a role. Who does he have to blame other than himself?

In addition to Peter Parker's fucked up line at the end of the movie. Peter's teacher says, "Don't make promises you can't keep", and Peter whispers to Gwen, "But those are the best kind."

I hope they handle it as well as they handled Uncle Ben's death in The Amazing Spider-man.

And to my understanding, Louie has been making short films for a long time. It's as if this is his passion or what he loves doing, and standup just happens to be his job.

It takes a lot for me to actually audibly say something to my television set, because I detest people who talk to TV shows as if the characters can hear them. But that fucking doll scene, I uttered with such pity, "Stop Louie" when he started melting those crayons and painting them on the doll's face.

But really, most of America has no clue who this guy is. In the show though, they'll have him doing shows in small venues being heckled, then…

Also, whoever is in charge of music production for this show needs a real pat on the back. The music for tonight's episode when Louie's in China is so fitting and oddly poignant. As well as the piece of music they would use during the Late Show episodes was just perfect.
