I am currently on Episode 8 of The Newsroom and have not been able to bring myself to watch the last two episodes. I feel like I have enjoyed the show, really small portions of it, but the show as a whole is so disjointed and awkward and poorly constructed.

From what I've heard, nobody is signed on past next season from Parks and Rec. Same goes for Community. As for Parks and Rec, I love it, but at the same time, when you think of the cast, every single person on that show has other projects they're working on. Not that they don't like doing the show, or like a steady…

Aren't Parks and Rec, 30 Rock and Community all having their final seasons as well?

Watch Marc the entire time, that means even over-the-shoulder when the shot is on Louie. I posted my comment immediately after finishing the episode, I'll rewatch it here and detail it:

It's all over the place and a good script supervisor would've…

Anyone else immediately think that the engagement ring is Chekhov's gun? Right as he pulled it out, I thought perhaps come season finale time he'll propose to Mack. As great a writer Sorkin is, he's more aware of literary devices and tropes than any of us, and uses them to his advantage.
