I never did fine the rubber nipple on the ignition override on the front of the solenoid on my 1970 Triumph GT6. Eventually corrosion did it magic and I turned the key and the starter wouldnt stop turning until I disconnected the battery.

Important to note that good winter tires don’t have to be expensive. I’m on my second set of General Altimax Arctic tires which have been perfect in the mountains and a set of 4 only cost me ~$325.
