I always like to think of minivans like the explorer/shuttles from Star Trek. They’re prefect little runabouts for leaving the mothership, offer a good panoramic view, got enough on board for your next adventure, always seem to have enough space for extra passengers, and have that handy rear hatch. Sure, you're not…
I’ve driven the Impreza with the CVT, and found it surprisingly adequate, and worked with an old timer who drove a CVT Outback. He was always happy with the mileage, but very uninterested in actual driving dynamics.
True talk: Solar Control Glass is an option loaded on my Jeep.
It does beg the question: did you happen to test drive it before signing the purchase agreement? Not asking to be an ass, just curious if this was a compromise or something.
So... It’s just crummy catalytic converters? I suppose the better question is: what’s wrong with the design of these catalytic converters? And how is that different than every other catalytic converter installed on...every other vehicle in America? Is this recall because of a specific emissions control device? Or is…
I’ll support your position... To a point.
Dang it, here I was all set to dual the exhaust, now I find out it’s going to require two new catalytic converters and they’re only giving me one for free?
Dat garage tho...
Oh... so they wouldn’t be using them.
Couple things....
To be fair, most engineering physics chemists do struggle talking down to the levels of mere mortals.
I see a lot when I stray too close to the BC border, but most are so rusted out that they’re almost transparent. Plus, they ain’t selling because they need them to get groceries and junk.
What is this mythical land of old pickups you speak of?
Good take.
There’s been some good Kinja today, but I feel like this is a COTD shoe-in.
Oh I understand what celebrities are. I just don’t understand why people literally worship them. It’s like giving them a license to be an asshole just because you wish you could be like them, and it’s sad that people feel so little of themselves that they NEED to live vicariously through some trumped up image of a…
Actually, I did have a problem with him before he was President. What with his ‘reality TV show’ and what, I thought, was his hail Mary pass to try and show everyone how relevant he was.
That’s relevant. One thing I’ve observed is that people don’t really get rid of cars that they like and are treating them well. Usually, if someone’s selling, it’s because they can’t afford to maintain it (and haven’t for some time), because it’s been giving them problems, or because it’s starting to generally look…
“No. We fixed the glitch.”
