I'm a runner, and I'll occasionally see very overweight people running, usually it's women (why is that?). Like you said, I'm totally rooting for them, totally impressed that they're out there, and they look good doing it—I think because they're moving energy through their bodies and being athletes.

I sympathize. One time I rented a dvd and the person who had it before me didn't rewind it. Took me forever to figure out how to rewind the damn thing.

Ditto. I used to have to core 30+ heads of lettuce at a time for a restaurant, and slamming them down worked great.

It can be confusing, especially with all the sub-genres of electronic dance music. A track like this one doesn't fit perfectly into any of them, so even the Professor himself threw all these different genres at it.

Yes, empathy. That was my first reaction, too. He went from feeling isolated/alone to connected (with one person) because of her empathy and ability to connect. It's probably harder to kill people when you're feeling connected to the human race and realize they're like you.

Another runner here, another Rockboxed Sansa Clip+ user who'd buy a new one in a second if it broke. Running is flow-time for me, no phone. The Clip is so small, so handy, I use it lots of other ways too.

Maybe this is how they're getting around the patent issue. "Geez. We made this magnetic port on our tablet just for fun and had no idea someone would make a magnetic power cord to hook up to it." I've got the Pogo cable for my Nexus 10 and love it.

How will this not end up being good? You already see developers competing to come up with new solutions, in the end we'll have more choices and they'll be better. Win. And they have all of 3.5 months to come up with better choices.

I'd bet that 98+% of the people that see the Iron Man movies have never read the comics and never will, so this is meaningless to all but a few. It's a #$%*&#@ movie made from a comic book that most people haven't read. Lighten up.

My family's pet growing up was a Dalmatian. Great dog! Good with us (6) kids, playful, sweet, a little hyper at times and neurotic, but who isn't. The mythology in our family was that Dalmatians were one of the smartest breeds, now I see they're rated one of the dumbest. I sure couldn't tell.
