As I work in a creative field myself, I have absolutely no problem with artists being paid (or even paid quite well!) for their work. That’s how it should be. But I would much rather that creative talent be recognized, that the art in question can be for the benefit of all, and that art not just be yet another shiny…

Did the buyer get a shitload of unwarranted press about this, increasing the value of that object to the buyer?
