This is unrelated but when you said “for a d&d” I totally said out loud “dungeon and dragons”. She pictured them as nerds and I got upset dungeons and dragons players were associated with that behavior. Then, 15 seconds later (15 seconds is a long time) I realized you meant “dine and dash”.

I think, to be fair, that if you are to pay a lot of money for a dress, for hair, make up and jewelry... That you can spend 30$ for a spa pedi. I think it’s part of the whole process. It’s clearly something that got overlooked in her whole “award get up” game plan. And sadly it DOES take away from the whole carefully…

My grandfather is 91 and he got game like an 17 years old part time DJ with a car! He does not have 1, or even 2... But 3 (!) girlfriends, including a set of TWINS! Who can compete with that?

I don’t think everyone react the same. My grandmother is DELIGHTED when I find old pictures of her and ask her all the things she have done. She tells me, in pictures, which guys were flirting with her and who was a terrible kisser. She remember the gossip 80 years later!

I’m not sure we can relate this to modern “woman image manipulation”. Not in the way stars and magazines photoshop woman.
