Abuse isn't always physical menace. Nick's an emotional abuser if there ever was one. Kalinda isn't attracted to him as much as she doesn't know how to handle him because he's, you know, her abuser and that relationship is fundamentally different than one she'd have with any other person.

She clearly doesn't love him but there's something familiar and it seems she's trying to keep him close so she can protect other people (Alicia). I don't think it's necessarily a GOOD exploration of a woman reunited with her abuser but I do think it's very clear that is what it is.

I thought it was kind of obvious Kalinda's husband is abusive and she's drifting back into the old habit of being abused even as she tried to fight it so she can manipulate him and keep him away from those she cares about.

That's the only part that has me scratching my head. When she reveals Annie's "father" to her it's with a certain amount of relish. Leaving you to wonder just how much she knows about the man.

There was a major debate in our house over whether Elizabeth was right to let Annie be dragged off by her husband (she doesn't know he's actually the abusive husband right?). I was all for her being terrible for letting a screaming girl be dragged away. The roommate was of the belief that for Elizabeth it was a no

I'll point out that he's a pretty major character on Scandal as some kind of haunted black ops guy. Some of the strongest work on that show comes from him.

Absolutely this. Boo was so enamored with this guy because he's into her and that's new to her that she completely blanked on things like being lactose intolerant so she could spend a little time with her. Meanwhile, her friends just see a weirdo. They have no idea that Boo's had a change of heart and are trying to

I'm loosely paraphrasing but it's in a bathroom at the reunion in the episode and Scully talks about how sometimes a lightbulb flicks on and suddenly someone who was just a friend was so much more. It was a major major deal at the time for the MSR fans (MSR being the term used for Mulder/Scully shippers back before

Loved Scott's mom finally learning what's been going on with everyone. Especially loved how horrified she was when she saw Scott with all his manly facial wolf hair. She wasn't confused and horrified like a mom. Or concerned. Just absolutely terrified.
