Assuming on desktop,

I’d go one further and say games shouldn’t be tied to launchers. You buy a license for a game, that license should work on any launcher, and preferably any platform. Basically, Movies Anywhere should expand to cover games, TV shows, music, ebooks...

Worth noting that on PC most, if not all, Game Pass saves are encrypted, so you’re locked to the Microsoft Store.
