Oh man, the end of Angels in Manhattan does me right in. It’s like a gut punch in the feels-bag. The epilogue is a lovely moment that softens the blow...but it’s still ridiculously emotional...albeit nothing compared to his final farewell speech to Clara which reduces me to a puddly mess of a human.

And that’s it exactly. At the same point where he hugged Amy and Rory like a kindly old uncle, with a young man’s face. He was incredible once he settled into that.

If I could interject for a moment. Smith’s portrayal was far better later on, and with other writers handling him. You do yourself a disservice if you skip over ALL his stuff.
