Saab 99, the precursor to the 900, the most coveted of all 99s is the 99 Turbo which had the aztec wheels (from the aztec step pyramids). It only came in a few colors and being introduced in 1978 was way ahead of it’s time for the turbo charged engine.

At $2,500, assume you’d put $1,500 into it after purchase. That’s $4,000, and still a steal.

Unreliable? The C900 is not at all unreliable. My family and friends have had probably 7 or 8 between them all, and very few had any problems.
