I am back in the states now, and as much as I love girl scout cookies (I used to have to sell those stupid things), I don’t really go out of my way to find them.

None of the ones we have in the states. I lived in Canada for a few years and was very disappointed the year I finally saw someone selling cookies (Tagalongs are my favorite). The girl I saw only seemed to have some chocolate and vanilla oreo type cookies.

I am sure that is the case, but I was more replying to the people who were making the assertion that geography wasn’t required in America at all, with the possible explanation that maybe the people they were talking to just never had a class specifically called Geography.

Now I might be too old (35) but we never had a class specifically called Geography but I learned all those things In Global Studies. And the plate tectonics and stuff was covered in the required science classes. With the caveat that I lived in a good school district in the Portland suburbs.
