Something like that happened to us too. When the family told my great grandma that her son had died she had a stroke and went into a coma and died 9 days later.

My nurse friends tell me that’s common for elderly couples. It’s sad, but nice to think of them being together. I know of a few people who died within a day of being told that their sibling had died. A family friend died of a heart attack, and his brother passed away right after the funeral while crying.

This reminds me of how one set of grandparents went, my grandfather died at 90 then within 3 days my grandmother went as well she just couldn’t take the grief.
