Absolutely agree. I think that audio helps too. It harkens back to a time of Asian action dramas of the 90s of which I connect with the franchise.

I definitely hope to see character’s gain more fidelity and definition as development continues and don’t really begrudge anyone who can’t get past the visuals. But for me, when I look at the substance of the trailer it seems consistent with what the series has always offered.

Maybe it’s your nostalgia or me not being clear, but what I was saying is the textures and overall realistic appearance wasn’t the main grab of the game. I and anyone else who owned Shenmue and a Dreamcast knew dam well it was one of the best looking games of its time, but the main attraction was the gameplay itself.

What were people expecting? Shenmue wasn’t great because of it’s amazing lifelike graphical appeal originally so why should this one be any different. It was the refreshingly hard but satisfying gameplay that we all want to see return. Glad to see the didn’t take the Dead Rising approach from first glance, it doesn’t

There was recently a 3 day competition in my neck of the woods and you the women that competed
