Sorry but Arlo does allow local recording for free. The base station has USB ports where you can plug in a stick or hard drive and record to your hearts content.

1 major problem with the EUFY/ANKER offering - data is stored on a 16GB-128GB Encrypted SD card that you can only access through the cloud. Eufy has promised users for offline viewing of videos. While backing has exceeded 1 million dollars, many of the comments indicate users will back out in the final days if

My Arlo cams are quite water-resistant. They’ve been outside in snow and torrential rains for almost a year now with no issues. The pro-version also has an optional solar panel so you never even have to recharge it. Plus it’s definitely smaller. Very happy with the Arlo cams.

Yeah, my Arlo Pro base station records clips to USB attached storage and I’m not paying anything.

Those mounts are pretty standard on cameras these days. I’ve got a Nest that uses the same type of mount and I have 2 of them mounted outdoors exposed to the weather. They haven’t budged even a fraction of an inch from the weather in nearly a year, and we had some excessive wind late last year. This Eufy one is quite l

I would say closest comparable camera would be Blink XT, which was recently acquired by Amazon. Blink is much cheaper, works great for me.

I’m going to pass. My experience with Anker/Eufy beyond their chargers and batteries has been pretty poor. This includes their original RoboVac (battery dead after one year), the AnkerCam, and the Eufy Smart Monitor Plug. For the latter 2, the Android apps were way to slow and glitchy to make it them dependable

Arlo 3 camera kit is $518 on Amazon. This 3 camera kit is $569 pre-order only. I think the Arlo is better priced and available now.

Arlo lets me save 5 cameras to the cloud for free, which allows me to get alerts. While I do wish my Gen1 Arlo allowed me to save locally as well, I can download the videos from the cloud in the App to my phone and then share them to my PC. I don’t really feel like this is an “easy call”.

I have a Ring 2 - for 2 months it and the Spotlight Cam worked great - then after the App was updated (I believe it coincided with an update), it (the APP) is trash and freezes my phone, I cant talk through it, can’t turn on light or alarm - APP freezes - it still records nicely to cloud, so the devices work, but the

Want the CNN and other logos and UIs forever imprinted on your screen that you paid 2k for in less than a year? ( which is a common issue but LG wont cover it in their warranty) Then get an OLED tv without following up online on this comment and regret not having done so a year or so after flushing 2K down the toilet.

Damn, these are great prices for OLED TVs... The only problem is that I want a TV from 75-80 inches. The price for the next size LG OLED TV jumps up to 15 grand once you go past 65 inches. I wonder when those are going to finally start to come down.

Except Abe’s isn’t a reputable company. They’re well known for the bait & switch. You’ll never get a TV from them for the price they advertise.
