I rode motorbikes for decades, and always wore full gear regardless of the weather. I high-sided a bike while going about 30 mph and my helmeted head hit the grounds hard enough to knock me out and make me forget who I was for a out a hour. I broke a collar bone as well. Helmets and proper gear have saved my life more

I miss the days when cars built in the US were rear wheel drive and most models could be bought with either 2 or 4 door depending on how many you thought you needed. Makes me miss my old 1970 Dart coupe.

If a brain can't even figure out when it should have a helmet on to protect itself it's probably not worth keeping.

I'm in Niles. North east, by quarry lakes.

Last month I saw a 65 Corvair on craigslist with a mid mounted V8 for $5000.

All we get is a sedan? I guess if you want a sporty sedan that blends in with every other car on the road it makes sense. There is something to be said for blending in and not being noticed. The nail that stands up is the one that gets hammered down.

Detriot was probably surprised that he was paying them. They most like thought the deal was for them to pay him $2 million to clean up that mess. I read recently: "This month, thousands of homes will be auctioned off in Wayne County, Mich., starting at $500. But so far, people aren’t buying. The majority of these are

What did that poor Torino do to deserve this?! It would have been less painful and looked better if it had been sent to the crusher.

Back in 1978 I bought a 63 VW camper van for $300, I put the engine in it, drove it for year and traded it for a 63 Triumph Bonneville and $300. I wish I still had both the VW and the Bonneville.

Why didn't the picture show?

I still can't wrap my head around the logic behind the idea of improving a sports car by adding more doors. Doesn't every other car made by Subaru have at least four doors?

This is funny. My boss gave me the exact same explanation for why he bought a SUV rather than a car (married, no kids and drive only himself around 90% of the time). It's only $3000 a year he said, but I ask for a raise that that comes to roughly another $3000 a year and suddenly that 3k is big deal! I guess it's all

Here is a page from a book published in 1909 showing a range of electric vehicles with lead acid batteries, and claiming a range of 30 miles. It sure took a long time for battery technology to advance. Still I'd probably take any one of these over cars listed above.

Trying to win a race in a Camry is like trying to hammer in a nail with a pillow.

I like the story. I use to live in the remote northern California town and Mendocino, and commute to the bay area (200 miles one way), and I did the commute in cars built in 1975 of earlier for years. There was one Friday night I was trying to get home in my 1973 Datsun 240Z. It was one of those winter days in Norther

You've got a point there.

"As sad as it is to say it, we'll probably get to a point where a computer is faster around a race track than a human, if we're not there already. You might just hear your kids say "yeah, Senna was great, but my new iPhone 27S is better.""
