Three slots, three classes.
Coincidence? :p
Doesn't sound like it was cancelled-cancelled, but the team culled and the project fated to be redesigned till it dies in obscurity.
It's disconcerting that a rainmaker like blizzard would have trouble designing something "fun". Especially when Bungie breaks into the MMO scene and starts eating everyone elses lunch so…
I think this review pretty much nails it. There's stuff that works (raids, patrols, instanced fights) and stuff that needs work (strikes need better payouts, story needs more... story), but its all in all a very playable product.
The loot drops are generally random, so if you're doing missions or matches then you get stuff along with your exp and standing marks.
agreed on all points, but I would say its mainly a balance issue that can be easily fixed if they put the effort in.
This game is terrible and all of you people need to stop playing it right now.
Stop already, don't you hear me?!
I've heard that they're supposed to be, but if they dunk them in salt water on landing then the chances of that working out are slim.
The shuttle was a boondoggle because it was designed to be one.
They made it far too large on the idea that they could use it to capture enemy satellites (which they never did), and they gave it massive wings on the theory they could do cross range returns (which they also never did). This meant they couldn't use…

Bungie stories are usually deeper than they appear at first glance. Not very deep, but enough to make you wonder about the larger setting.
Experienced pilots are what make a plane lethal.
If we forego training to put all our faith in technology, we risk making the mistakes of Vietnam all over again.
If God wanted us to be in the ocean, he'd have made humans less tasty.
They probably could win, but the question then becomes "at what cost?". You'd need to buy up studios and push advertising in a place that's not a key market for them.
Its alot... but after decades of inflation, its not as much as it used to be.
Fit and Finish Inspector, Chery
I don't think I'd have a problem with realism in a game.
Its the gameplay itself that should matter tho, not just the visuals.
Oh myyy.
Its only a catch 22 because they're afraid to talk openly about NASA's future.
If they can't nut up and do that much, I don't see how they're ready for a dangerous exploration mission.
