That is not the point of a Greek organization. They don't want members to be diverse or unique, though they may pay lip service to such a goal. The point of a Greek organization is to create an exclusive club that acts as a social and professional network down the line. You put it on your resume and hiring managers

That's extortion. They've basically trained you that they will be a bag of dicks unless you pay them not to be.

Infinity this. These kids have to deal with 100 angry people at a time, several times a day, they will move heaven and earth for the one not-asshole that shows a bit of empathy for their situation.

How small of a small business? If you have multiple "bosses" hanging around then it can't be really tiny. Odds are good that someone(maybe you!) will suggest that they turn the business into a partnership or public company. I first read that acronym in a novel called "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress" by Heinlein. Great book.

More power to you for giving your kid the financial muscle to make the choice if she wants to. If she is willing to take the risks involved with a college experience and you can defray the costs, I think that's a wonderful thing

I strongly disagree with your assessment of the necessity of college education.

This is a major reason why I'm tempted to reply "Yeah, if only everyone were white people from Rhode Island, all our social problems would be solved!" whenever anybody brings up their favorite Scandinavian socialist paradise. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure the Danes are a lovely people. We

The Law expressly forbids ethics, except as they relate to being honest to Wall St.

If you don't mind a bit of professional advice from a stranger, I have a career hack for you:

Try making more typos. There seems to be a correlation in most industries between people who are bad at english and people who make lots of money.
