Where are the articles saying everything Bernie did wrong in not being the nominee? I don’t recall seeing those. Seems like Hillary gets blamed when she wins and when she loses.

I don’t understand where this “charismatic Bernie” thing comes from. He’s a cranky old man who yells about trade and Wall Street. He rarely smiles and I’ve never heard him laugh. He’s completely blind to anything concerning women and minorities (see Ta-Nehisi Coates’ appearance on MSNBC last night, he agrees).
I do have to LOL/headdesk/cry at the people who are like, “We could have had Bernie or Joeeeeee!!!”
I was an organizer in Michigan. Obama alums were on the HRC campaign. That’s really all I will say. If anything, I think we underestimated the radicalization of white men and that white woman would vote race over gender. Let’s move forward.
Except the DNC did no such thing, voters did, by millions of votes.
They borrowed heavily from the Obama campaign which was famous for its data driven approach. He spent money on grassroots where the data said he should. On the surface where he decided to focus often looked bizarre to seasoned politicians. At least, in 2012. And people credited that for beating Romney so soundly.
Good comments but I worry about the economic plan part. Trump was able to win traditionally Democratic voters by straight up lying to them because it was what they wanted to hear.
Campaign metrics. Not election results. I’m talking ground game, money raised, money spent, ad buys, favorability differential, winning every debate, etc.
I wonder if any of it would have mattered. Like you stated at the end of the article, Trump did literally every single thing wrong that is normally required for a traditional campaign to be successful and still won.
Try taking a break from the fucking public displays, turn off your phone, and get to work saving your life.
I have read way to much well wishing for Kanye on here, simply because he has mental issues. He is a grade A piece of shit and should be treated as such. He may have mental problems, but guess what? He is in a way better position than most of us to deal with it. Fuck. Him.
Indeed he is. I always sort of knew this, but it really hit me over the head like a hammer the Wednesday morning after the election when he got up at the podium in the Rose Garden and gave this nice speech that tried to be bright and hopeful and conciliatory and there was nothing but a constant stream of total…
After the last year or so, I’m way more defensive of Hillary Clinton than I am about my own mom. Like, if someone said something shitty about my mom, I’d be like “lol what the fuck is your problem, my mom’s the best” but if someone says something shitty about Hillary, I’m like “YOU WANNA FUCKIN’ GO, ASSHOLE?”
Yeah, I’m not on board with this “why aren’t they doing MOOORRRREE” narrative, especially considering that many of us couldn’t do the bare minimum for them: Get out and vote.
I’m a simple guy, I don’t ask for much. I tend to vote for people who can string at least 3 coherent sentences together in a row. I’m going to miss this man a lot.
That’s one of the things I love about Thomas More’s Utopia, where he explains how the people have realised the madness of being obsessed with glittering jewellery which has no real function/natural value other than the weird greed and authority we give it, beyond that of a shimmering stone you might play with as a…
It was. How can you be so irresponsible with your money, brick frog?
Thank you for reminding me that this exists
Sorry! Replied to the wrong comment!
Cool. I wasn’t planning on having brunch with you.
