Yeah. I'm kind of glad they're introducing the campy ass other communities because it really leans into its whackadoo comic book origins. No tonal grey area there.

Saying it again: Eugene is Bob from Bottle Rocket post zombie apocalypse.

I just want to say that I think Eugene is the continued story of Bob from Bottle Rocket post zombie apocalypse.

White Trash: The 400 Year Untold Story of Class in America by Nancy Isenberg

I had a professor in college who was the unflattering inspiration for a character in Straight Man. To be fair, he was a real dick.

Same. I've always been disappointed that Caitlin Cary doesn't have more out there. The duet album she did a while back had some nice songs on it, though.

I thought this was stunning. I finished it feeling strangely uplifted because of the focus on the incredible selflessness of some of the people there.
The rotoscoping was really effective, too, in communicating the real emotions of the moment and also how surreal the situation had to have been for them.
    Side note: I

He really looked the part. It was striking.

I show clips of it to my 6th grade classes for inference practice (but also because I like to sneak in a little classic pop culture that I know these kids will not be exposed to) and they eat it up, are just mesmerized- and it's a rough area and some rough kids. It's possibly the most fun movie I know. She's so great

My sister and I snuck out of the house and away from the family and saw this, and it hit the spot. It was silly and forgettable, but man, did I laugh when he threw that chicken as a defensive move. Sometimes a bunch of low-brow slapstick is just the ticket.

This was always my theory. All the lovely people that worry about others stress themselves into an early grave.

Ugh. Right? It was so good at the beginning and just tanked so hard, but I couldn't stop watching it.

Holy shit. The Beach Boys? But those harmonies…

My God, this show has taken a shit.
It's like a completely different show and completely different characters from season one (which was fantastic).

I was told a real life version of this story involving front yard Christmas decorations in the east Texas piney woods and now I'm afraid it was just recycled. Boo. I laughed so hard.

    Brendan Gleeson

    Junebug. She was fantastic.

I'm a teacher and reading that part out loud is a freakin' blast. Haha
Although… Third grade? That lady wasn't pulling any punches, was she?

Have you read any of his adult stories? Some of those still come back to me when I can't sleep at night.
